Nervous

Ya Allah, betapa tak tenteramnya hati ni. First paper in a few hours. Nak katakan, I have finished going through my notes and have tried some past year questions, but... sunguh gelisah sangat-sangat. Takut lupa, takut tersalah concept etc...
I know, dah usaha, dah ikhtiar, dah doa, time to tawakkal. And with these few hours left, I can still put in some more usaha and doa, but it is unnerving. I think it's because I realise that the way I explain my answers when practicing the past year paper yesterday is very incoherent.
DO’A KETIKA HENDAK BERSYARAH ATAU BERBAHAS
Rabbisy rahli sadri wa yassirli amri wahlul ‘uqdatan min lisani yafqahu qauli.
“Ya Allah! Lapangkanlah dadaku, mudahkanlah pekerjaanku (urusanku) dan
lancarkanlah lidahku agar mereka faham pembicaraanku.”
Mata ni mengantuk sungguh. Semalam hampir satu jam just toss and turn toss and turn, baca doa ni doa tu tak kelap lelap jugak mata. Nervous attack dia sampai susah nak bernafas. Akhir sekali, paksa jugak tidur, basahkan lidah dengan selawat, alhamdulillah lelap jugak akhirnya selepas dah hampir jam 2 pagi. Macam nak rehat semula ni, tapi tak tenang! Nak cuba buat soalan-soalan lagi, nak asahkan lagi answering skills.
Ya Allah, tenangkanlah hati yang resah ini.

My confidence has been crushed twice. TWO MCQ quizzes seh I didn't do well, when in fact I was confident I would be able to do well... I have another MCQ/short ans quiz tmr and I'm at the 2nd topic, and I have no motivation to continue. When I study, I keep reading and rereading to ensure I get all the facts right. And when anyone asks me anything, I don't have the confidence to give an answer and be sure that it is correct. So sad right...
It's not that I don't want to help my friends, but I'm afraid that I'm not even helping them in the first place, by giving them the wrong answer. I'm doubting myself! I used to be so sure of what I say, especially when it comes to Science. I'm the one who'd understand what is being taught in lectures and would help to explain to Ad when she doesn't understand. Now, I can't even be 100% sure that what I know/understand is right!
So sad...
Someone asked me, is uni easy?
My answer: definitely not. Anyone who says that it is easy must be a genius or must be crazy.
Uni is certainly NOT easy. It is a fact that I am struggling in NIE. I can't give up, and I never will...
I keep comparing poly and uni life, I feel so suffocated in uni. Eventhough my timetable (just lecture after lecture after lecture, except for lab once in awhile) now is less hectic than poly (lab every week, tutorial every week, projects in between, Fityan activities, Nur Ikhwan activities and whatnots), I feel so so tired. I sleep late almost every day. I seem to be running after time all the time. I am never ahead of it. I find it so hard to finish work on time. Or to produce quality work, because I'm just so so tired...
But I have to keep myself motivated. Just keep swimming. Just do and do and do. One at a time. It is very very tiring and draining. I can't seem to be doing anything else other than study, do assignment, study, do assignment...
I really miss poly life. Uni is crazy. It takes a lot to remind myself what am I doing here...
I'm glad I have helpful friends who'd motivate me, who'd help me out when I'm stuck etc. Harizah and Mahmudah may be struggling with their studies too, but they seem to be coping better than I am. They manage their time well. They seem to finish everything early. It is rather pressurizing, but I guess it's a good pressure...
Ya Allah, permudahkanlah aku memahami apa yang aku pelajari...
I guess, I need to put in more effort to berusaha and to berdoa... Perbanyakkan selawat and munajat. May Allah ease my tasks for me...

I was actually looking for the hadith qudsi about and I came across this...
MasyaAllah... Don't we all want to be closer to Allah? Allah loves you so much that's why He delays answering your doa. There is no doa of a mukmin that Allah doesn't respond to, if not now, then He will in the hereafter...
And my favourite zikr is hasbi rabbi, it's so nice that it's almost miraculous... Especially so, since each time I hear it, it reminds me of Maghrib prayers @ Ghufran because the bilal would sing it before Maghrib prayers, and of pesantren because of a story Ustaz Hassan told us, about how he wanted to perform hajj and he went to see his syeikh to consult him on how he can go when he has no money, of which his syeikh's answer was: "You already have the key with you" and the key is Allah... Doa. Then Ust sang hasbi rabbi and a miracle happened, not instantaneously but yeah... Allah answered his doa. It is not that the song was the cause that Allah answered his doa, but it just reminds me how Allah will always answer His servant's doa.
And my favourite surah is Surah Ar-Rahman (other than Al-Fatihah), for just the name itself reminds me of Allah the Most Gracious, Maha Pengasih! My roommate & I would play this surah on our laptop at random times, for different reasons. And the surah reminds me of RYC 08, as well as Ramadhan qiyam 09.
Truly, no one is more Gracious, lebih mengasihi, than Allah s.w.t. And thus only He deserves our utmost kasih.
Which brings me back to the hadith qudsi I was looking for. I've heard of the longer version for it, but I can't find it. I want to Maghrib first.
For now, this would suffice:
I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly even better than that one. And if he takes one step towards me, I take ten steps towards him. And if he comes walking to Me, I go running towards him.

Saw this on Liyana's tumblr...
Seandainya telah engkau catatkan
Dia akan menjadi teman dalam menapaki hidup
Satukan hatinya dengan hatiku….
Titipkanlah kebahagiaan diantara kami
Berikan aku kekuatan
Melontarkan bayangan jauh ke dada langit
Hilang bersama senja nan merah
Agar ku bisa berbahagia walaupun tanpa bersama
Dengannya….
Dan ya ALLH yang tercinta…
Gantikanlah yang telah hilang
Tumbuhkanlah kembali yang telah patah
Walaupun tidak sama dengannya
ya ALLAH ya… Tuhanku…
Pasrahkanlah aku dengan takdirmu
Sesungguhnya apa yang telang Engkau takdirkan
Adalah yang terbaik buatku…
Karena Engkau maha mengetahui
Segala yang terbaik buat hamba-Mu ini…
ya… ALLAH ….
Cukupkanlah Engkau saja yang menjadi pemeliharaku
Didunia dan di akhirat
Dengarkanlah rintihan dari hamba-Mu yang daif ini….
Jangan biarkan aku sendirian
Rabbal… Alamin…

Ustazah Sakinah messaged me from Malaysia yesterday! I was so touched at her concern that it truly made me smile. Thank you for the advices, tips, reminders...
But as I was tossing and turning on my bed last night, I realise I couldn't sleep, again, If you know Marliyana, you know that I fall asleep the moment my head touches the pillow, sometimes not even halfway through my surah2/doa before sleep. Yesterday, after I finished all surahs and doa tidur, I tossed and turned, and tossed and turned, and tossed and turned, and finally decided to read my notes. Nearly 1am, I forced myself to read, I finished a second set of surahs and doa before I finally go to sleep facing the wall.
It got me thinking... Is what I told Ustazah as the source of the emo-ness, really the source? Or could there be something else? Hmmm...
I don't know...
Today's lecture was 3hours, with 2 breaks in between, and I took a nap during the second break (yesterday I fell asleep in lecture, but since I studied it in poly before, and I read through the slides already the night before, it was ok, I could catch up). The lecturer was very draggy, going on and on about the same point. I think I forgot to set my niat when I entered the lecture. But seriously it was really draggy, my friends were already drawing on tissue papers and all.
Oh lunch was a long and lonely affair, which I don't mind one bit actually. I haven't been having the proper appetite to eat. Yea I complain when I missed a meal, but really I don't really have much appetite I normally do. I've been asking for less rice. Yesterday I skipped breakfast, and today I am about to skip dinner (except for biscuits). And I took one hour to finish my lunch, I had to take a break like twice in between. Normally if I'm alone, I can finish my food in 10-15mins, cos I feel that the faster I finish eating, the faster I get going on to doing other things.
And when I went to Juring Point to buy some necessities for my room, I didn't feel compelled at all to buy a doughnut, or a cake, or a fruit or any kind of food at all...
But I did some shopping, if you can say so. Whiteboard, keyboard protector, pens, stapler, organizer... Things I need la. I am glad I can control myself from buying on impulse even when I'm shopping alone. I like shopping alone. I can enter a shop as many times I want, I can spend forever going around a shop, I can browse books as long as I want... If you get what I mean...
I wanna buy a new phone, so I can change to student plan. But I feel that there is no phone as durable as the China phone I'm using. I dropped it from a standing position and it works perfectly well. I've had water on it so many times and it's still working perfectly fine. And it had a loud radio and tv which I need staying in hostel... The only things it lacks is a much much bigger storage space and the better camera (despite being 8MP, it is always so dark).
Ok, I am ranting actually...
Had silat just now. For the second time ever, I couldn't wait to go for training, and both times the trainings are for seni... I think I prefer seni to tanding, despite how imperfect my moves are. Unfortunately, I wasn't chosen for the seni team. Quite sad about it, cos it means I only have tanding to prove my worth in silat! I think I have my theories ok, but practical-wise, I'm still so slow at applications. Need to work on balance, range, speed, accuracy and strength, woah. But yes, no doubt it is a good workout for your mind and physical self... I just hope to avoid any major injuries in future. The sprain (and to think how silly did I sustain the injury - losing baklance!) still makes me uncomfortable...
I should prepare for meeting with Sham tmr...
It's still the first week of school, and I have so many things on my to-do list!!!

I hadn't been listening to music the past few days, unless it happens to be on radio in the car or on tv that I wasn't intentionally listening to. No Windows Media Player, no imeem, no youtube, no MP3. No Twilight songs, no nasyids.
I'm missing Twilight, but I've survived many days without it.
Anyway, my pointing finger on my right hand hurts when I move it. Wonder if there's a fracture or muscle tear or something. Gonna go see the doctor after their lunch time I guess. Better get it checked. I thought of visiting the dentist as well, but I don't think I have time. Cos I still need to find my sleeping back, insect repellent and torchlight, which means I need a trip down to Giant...
So, how did I get a painful finger, and a bruised shin, and aching buttocks and back and such? Silat.
Had silat training yesterday after about a month of no trainings due to exams. I thought it's gonna be a refresher course. Yes it was, and more! We did new things like group kicking (it's harder if you're holding the padding than kicking, sakit la woi kena attack continuously for 10x3 kicks), practicing defense to spontaneous attacks in pairs (I enjoyed Shaza's mentoring, I learned alot! the most since I joined silat I think. Cos she was able to pinpoint my mistake AND suggest how I can improve, which I did my best to. And she gave constant words of encouragement that kept me motivated and wanting to give my best one round after another, trying to be better each round.), wearing the vest (I felt like ninja turtle. comfortable uh, perhaps cos I didn't get super hard kicks from opponents yet), leaarning the point system (interesting! SEA games ade silat? nak tengok!) and of course a taste of how tanding is like (coach put me against Mir who is much taller, bigger and stronger than myself, and Syaza whom I had practiced with. Menggeletar gilerh eh tangan bila pasang, and continue to menggeletar badly after training ends. Mir accidentally kicked my finger, tulah sakit ni. and she masuk & angkat me after grabbing my leg during a kick effortlessly and landed me on the ground.) I can't wait for the next practice for tanding! The adrenaline rush is superb! Even if it left me breathless halfway (dah lama my heart didn't need to work too hard to send oxygen to all my muscles). Just before training I told Mir I may be quitting ilat next year, which I really was planning to. But now, maybe not! Silat gerek la seh! It makes you on guard at all times always anticipating attacks and how to defend, at the same time thinking of combos to successfully attack your opponents vest. It is a physical and mental art and sports. Woo hoo! Hmm, that reminds me, I need socks with friction soles to wear for silat, and black indonesian tudungs for safety purposes, yet maintaining aurat.
Oh what makes yesterday such a great day was: I got to go shopping!!! I spent like $150-$200 yesterday, spending at Tampines, Geylang & Bugis. I went Orchard as well, but we couldn't find a suitable present for my eldest bro, so we ended up eating late lunch there only.
Let's see, I bought 4 pairs of socks, 3 trackpants, shampoo, conditioner, 2 Glade scented gel, hairband, 2 pyjamas, 2 bandanna, 2 jubah, 1 kurta, 2 tudung, 4 sarung tangan and 3 shawls, woo hoo! Best shopping sakan ;) Plus the two shoes I bought previously, I'm complete from head to toe :P I'd wanted to buy face towel, a small sling bag, a skirt and another shawl, and my parents urged me to, but I felt that they weren't as necessary. My dad event urged me to buy this $99, after discount, checkered shirt from Levis, but I don't think that is at all necessary. Most of the things I bought are to prepare myself to go on a camping spree for 9 days straight, afterwhich I'd dump them at hall. Hmm, I still need my sleeping bag, insect repellent and torchlight. And mind you, I'm still eyeing a Samsung phone!
Of all the things I bought, my favourite is the white satin jubah. I'd always wanted something white, but can never find one that is not jarang, until... yesterday. :D Initially I thought it was too expensive. $59 for a plain white jubah with a bit of sequins on the waistline. I walked around the pasar Geylang somemore until it was time to get back to the car, that I thought, ok why don't we try asking for discount. I'll buy if she gives discount to $45. Turns out, she gave until $40!!!! According to her, because it is white, she can give at a cheaper price. And she thought I was going umrah, I wish. But the jubah simply makes me so happy! This is the second time I bought a jubah from her shop. I very much liked my first fairy-tale-jungle-like green and red jubah which I wore for raya, and now this white jubah. I'd love to visit her shop again the next time extra rezeki comes my way.
The skirt was very nice. My mum would love to see me wear skirt. Truthfully, myself too. But I find wearing skirt so leceh. Cos, I'd still wear pants underneath, so it kinds of defeat the whole purpose of the skirt. Besides my mum ends up saying I look like minah Malaysia wearing skirt with knee-length shirts, but I've dumped my short shirts!
Ok, my finger is hurtinggggg, and I should be on my way to the doctor now actually hehe.
Oh after silat yesterday, Mir's mum drove me home. But we stopped at Woodlands for awhile, supposedly to give Mir's bro some cash for his retreat to Johor with cousins, ended up I followed them to have dinner at Rasa Rasa. I envy how close they are with their cousins. So fun. I used to be close to my cousins, but somehow or rather, after we started sch, we started seeing each other less until it's like once, or twice, a year kinda affair.
I should really be going. Hopefully I get to go Giant today. And hopefully my finger is just slightly sprained, no fractuer or anything. I wanna tanding somemore!!!
Thank you Allah for a really good day yesterday. Please make today better than yesterday, and tomorrow better than today and so on :)

Marliyana ada banyak cerita niari. Marliyana tak tau nak mula dari mana. Random k.
Marliyana lapar. satu hari cuma makan kuih belanda (yang biscuit roll tu), nasi minyak pat jemputan tengahari tadi dan 1 roti sardine bersalut telur. Tapi kat rumah tinggal maggi je and Marliyana ngah pikir banyak-banyak kali pasal MSG dalam maggi. Marliyana taknak jadi bodoh. Marliyana suka jadi pandai.
Marliyana niari bangun awal. Pukul 2 pagi bangun belajar Tafsir, pukul 4 tertido, pukul 5 bangun balik, pukul 6 tertido, pukul 7 bangun balik. Alhamdulillah dapat habis 90% ulangkaji, tapi bila duduk untuk exam tu cam tak tahu cammane nak apply. Lagi-lagi kertas 2, closed book, dia mintak hukum yang rajih (ni ok jugak) berserta hujjah-hujjah ulama'-ulama'! Nama ulama' semua dah mixed up, apa tak nye ada agaknya 20-30 hukum. Nak hafal ayat-ayat Qur'an & hadith-hadith tak kesampaian, jadi exam tu tulis ajelah sehampir mungkin dengan dall-dalil yang ingat. Tak exact words.
Exam tafsir tu kat Jurong West, dekat dengan NTU/NIE. Lepas kertas 1, Marliyana langsung mulakan Kertas 2, tanpa rehat 1/2 jam seperti lazimnya sebab Marliyana nak cepat. Lepas Kertas 2, Marliyana singgah asrama jap, pastu ikut parents gi jemputan kat Chai Chee. Gitu lah namanya.
Lepas Zohor, Marliyana gi madrasah pat Tampines pulak, untuk Kertas Kepimpinan Dalam Islam. Marliyana rasa Kertas 1 okeh, tapi sebahagian daripada Kertas 2 susah sangat. Marliyana main hentam aje.
At last, mak Marliyana belanja beli 2 pyjamas, sebab pyjamas yang ada dah tinggalkan kat asrama. $6 kat lelong, murah lah tu.
Malam, Marliyana ikut mak dan makcik Marliyana jalan-jalan kat Tampines. Nak katakan shopping, boleh jugak arh. Marliyana beli 2 kasut & 1 seluar tracks. Memang dah lama nak beli kasut, untuk pakaian semi-formal kat sekolah & untuk bila pakai jubah (tak senonoh gitu pakai jubah abistu pakai kasut $6.90 yang mak label sebagai 'kasut nyonya' yang Marliyana biasa pakai tu), jadi bila ada kasut semurah $10.80 & $15.90, Marliyana belilah.
Itu je kejadian hari ni sebenarnya...
Tapi adalah hal-hal lain. Marliyana masih memikirkan tentang apa yang Marliyana 'belajar' Jumaat & Sabtu lalu. Walaupun Marliyana belum dapat menerima semuanya dan memberikan kata akhir, sekurang-kurangnya, Marliyana rasa Marliyana dah mempunyai suatu pendirian yang sesuai buat masa ni, supaya tak terlalu stress fikirkan ni.
Marliyana rasa Marliyana banyak stress kebelakangan ni. Sebab asyik pening-pening kepala macam migraine. Nak jumpa doktor macam tak perlu, tapi takut jugak kalau ada apa-apa tak kena. Semoga dijauhkan sebarang penyakit dan musibah. Amin. Lebih-lebih lagi Marliyana baru-baru ni dengar cerita ada orang sakit-sakit kepala, rupanya darah tinggi sampai satu hari tahap tekanan darahnya terlalu tinggi sehingga urat dalam otak pecah menyebabkan stroke sebelah badan dan kehilangan kebolehan untuk berkata-kata.
Oh, kelmarin bila Marliyana pergi Body Worlds, Science Centre & Imax Theatre dengan Harizah & Mahmudah, case kamera Marliyana hilang. Dah cari & dah laporkan, sekarang Marliyana redha & tawakkal sahaja.
Jadi Marliyana buat bodoh. Serba salah pulak rasanya. Tapi Marliyana benar-benar ada hal Selasa malam ni... Memang boleh skip, tapi... entah. sememangnya Marliyana serba salah.
Besok malam kawan Marliyana nak pergi Laos, bukan untuk Sea Games, tapi untuk buat kebajikan. Marliyana rasa Marliyana nak hantar dia sampai airport. Marliyana suka jalan-jalan kat airport sebenarnya. Marliyana rindu sangat nak naik kapal terbang... tapi...
Parents Marliyana dah benarkan Marliyana bercuti dengan kawan sepanjang dua minggu ke Australia bulan Jun depan. Marliyana pon dah bilang kawan Marliyana tu. Lagipun keluarga Marliyana sedang menghadapi sedikit kesempitan wang jugak, jadi... yelah...
Tapi Marliyana sedih jugaklah. Dah ghairah sungguh...
Marliyana tak selesalah nak langkah naik motor semua depan lelaki...
Marliyana singgah kedai singtel & Starhub tadi.
Kelmarin Marliyana berasa ghairah tentang Persantren Kilat.
Marliyana tak tau kenapa alih-alih Marliyana blog sebegini. Marliyana memang rasa lain semacam gitu, tapi tak apalah. Marliyana dah ngantok. Dah lebih satu jam Marliyana taip. Marliyana nak tido. Marliyana dah penat berfikir. Marliyana nak shut-down buat beberapa jam...

I read Musafir Cinta by Taufiqurrahman months ago, and finally today I managed to watch Syahadat Cinta on Youtube (I do not agree with some of the scenes, but yahhh....
When I revisited my blog post on Musafir Cinta, this was what I found:
Ya Allah, I plead with you for my past sins to be forgiven. I plead with you, the Creator of all creations, to lead my family and I to the right path. And I plead with you too, may we die a death of a Muslim who remembers you and utters your name before the roh is lifted, may we die as pure as when we were born. I plead with you, O Allah the Most forgiving, the Most Powerful, to whom we shall return to. I plead with you, for the safety and peace of my brothers and sisters in Gaza, may they be able to live their lives pleasantly in worship of you or go to you in the state of purest of the pure. May to those suffering right now, you grant them much peace and happiness in the hereafter. O Allah the Almighty, I am but just one of your many humble servants. I am scared of your wrath, yet I hope for your goodness O Allah. For all the goodness you've given me and my family, that all these while I, your shameless servant, has forgotten to thank you for, now I do. All praise be upon You, the Owner of the whole universe. Alhamdulillahi rabb al-amin...
I'm worried, very worried, and I pray to you ya Allah to ease this worry inside me. I, who is such a shameless servant, pray to you and ask you, the Most High, to help me lighten the burden laid upon me and to ease the tasks that lie ahead of me...
I am feeling the same way I feel then, though then I had my MP report looming over me and now I have my exams looming over me. How time flies...
I've catched Ayat-ayat cinta and Syurga Cinta. Looking forward to catch Ketika Cinta Bertasbih & Nur Kasih next... And The Mentalist... AFTER EXAMS!

Penulisan Lafazh "JazakAllah Khairan"
Semoga bermanfaat…

I love Arabic :))) Came across a forum where Malays were practicising basic Arabic conversation, interesting. I like to know I could understand half of what they were saying! And the video Raudah shared just now too!
Anyway, I feel very happy today! I love the feeling of spreading joy, happiness and laughter very much :D And had great laughs with Ad in the afternoon and great laughs with some of the fatayaats just now. So happy! Feels like a long time since I laughed this much gitu. Love you guys loads... awww...
K very sleepy already. Maybe going to support Fityan tmr. 7.15am at Ghufran?!?! ZzZzZz...
But alot going through my mind. Plans. Questions. Things to do!
Anyway, before I go off, asking for your kindness to pray for Jun and Azz who haven't been feeling well lately and still 'recuperating' at home to get well soon... It doesn't feel good to feel sick, so you don't want to feel sick right? And isn't it aid that your iman is not complete if you do not wish for your brother what you wish for yourself... so don't you wish that your brother too don't have to feel sick? :) Thank you..
Oh, one last note... I started this day with "Life is a university for us. Let's strive for all-round success. Hidup ini tarbiyah untuk kita. Ayuh usaha untuk kejayaan dunia dan akhirat. Even as you cry, make another person smile or even laugh. Walaupun hati hiba dan mengalir airmata, buatlah orang lain tersenyum, malah tertawa..." and I am happy to say I have made at least one person smile and one person laugh today... And thank you others who made me smile and laugh as well.
Harry Potter tomorrow!!! Shut up spoilers!!

The source of strength is in our doa.
Rasulullah s.a.w. taught us to stay positive through this doa:

My mum, my eldest brother and I had breakfast together this morning when my brother asked about my GPA and about applying to uni. I told him uh and he just shoo his head indicating, "No hope"...
Gosh that's evil eh... Then he ask me NTU/NUS (he was from NTU), I said I'm trying both uh. Then he ask NUS got what course, so I replied Biological Sciences, and he shook his head again.
Very evil.
Lucky my dad had finished eating and left the dining table already. If not, waah...
But I shall just try la yea? TP invited a NTU representative (head of Biological Sciences or something like that) during the post-SIP briefing talk yesterday, and someone asked what is probably on the mind of anyone with GPA < 3.5, "How do we know if we can enter the course?" or "What is the cut-off point to enter the course?"
Her reply was, "Oh I shall give you a very easy answer. We do not state any cut-off points to enter any course in NTU as it is subjective to the batch applying. What I suggest is for you to just go ahead and apply. If your grades fall just slightly below the cut-off point for the batch, at least you can appeal and we can see what we can do, but if you don't try at all, you definitely have no chances of entering."
True true. Except for the part about "easy answer" lol. Some of us might have found it hard to take haha.
So yea, I shall just try. It does hampers my hopes that my GPA is below 3.5 and that the uni calculates using 80% poly first 5 semester results and 20% o level results. O levels is my dark past, can't I just chuck it away!
But yea, I shall still try anyway. Belom try belom tau!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway I've got something to share. My SIP report was due yesterday. And uhm... I couldn't finish it by 5pm no matter how fast I typed. At 5pm ++ I finished it but it was 3800 words. I had to cut down to 2500 words! So edit-edit, do table of contents, and I saw the printing shop close infront of my very eyes... :(
It was nearly 7, so I quickly finished up what I have and went to pray Asar afterwhich I went to the library. The Xerox printing shop at Design was closed already too and so I had no choice but to print black & white at the library. It happened that the printer is jammed and after fixing it, I printed out the main contents, it was nearly 8 already.
Then I realised that I've yet to do my acknowledgements page and the table of contents was not saved in my usb! And that usb uh, once you unplugged, it will take forever to update. while it updates, you can't use it. So as I wait, the time ticks away till it was already 8 plus. I had to Maghrib, so no choice shut down everything and lugged everything to the musollah (my laptop plus adapter is superrrr heavy ok, but no way am I leaving it behind anywhere).
When I returned to the library at around 8.30, the library was about to close already. I thought still can as it says the library closes at 9. Just print abit only what. But then turns out at 8.40, just as I settled in to print (well you need to sign in etc), just as I clicked print for one of the parts, a pop-up appeared saying that the system will shut down in 12 sec. 12 sec la seh! I quickly turned around to the printing comp only to realise someone had shut it down already! And when I switched it on back, the pop up appeared and just switched off in that few seconds of which I didn't even have time to sign in and click print.
And so I left the library with an incomplete set of report, unbound and in black and white feeling so hungry (didn't eat since 8am, luckily I had a heavy breakfast) and so hopeless. Wanted to cry, but I think I was beyond tears already. I just tried assuring myself that insyaAllah there's a hikmah.
I walked to AS and I actually tried the knob of the printing room, who knows they forgot to lock. Hah, that was just fat hope. Sat on the bench and just stared at my papers wondering what should I do next. Really had no idea. I was already planning what to do next, come back tmr (today) and print out properly with colour, bind and hand in.
At that very moment, Ain and Suhailah came out of the lift door, probably after prayers at AS lvl 7. They came, we salam-ed and they asked what was I doing there (well you see, I was almost never seen in TP for the past 5 months, and besides it was nearly 9pm on a Friday!), what's that in my hands etc. And so pours out the story. Little did I expect, they are my saviours that Allah sent, destined to help me in my most hopeless state.
Initially Suhailah suggested binding at a photo shop across TP. Ok not so near. It's like across the TP bridge, across the huge field and across the small road... Slowly hope filled me. A little. Cos even if I had the report bound, it's still incomplete.
When I asked Suhailah if the shop can print from thumbdrive also, she said not sure. But then, she and Ain realised that I could print at the Biz comp lab! Gosh, their lab closes at 9.45 ehk! And no worries about paper as Suhailah has some and her friend has some as well! And and if we're quick, there's another lab downstairs which has coloured printer!
It sounded so good to be true! As I followed them to Biz, I couldn't stop thanking Allah. The words I ever blogged came back to me. "Dan di saat kamu membutuhNya, tentu sekali Dia akan membantumu". Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengasih Maha Penyayang. Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim. I truly felt His touch of love then. I think if I had memorized Surah Ar-Rahman, I would have recited it in my heart.
Ain and Suhailah even gave me a doughnut to eat. Gosh, it should be me buying some food for them to thank them seh. Suhailah was so kind as to accompany me downstairs and help me print out the coloured pages (and the colour printer takes very long) while I printed out the acknowledgement, table of contents and appendix.
I certainly used up alot of Suhailah's papers and time. I dunno how to repay her and Ain at all, except to pray that Allah will berkati mereka, memberi mereka rahmat-Nya serta murahkan rezeki mereka. Amin...
The next challenge was to find the photo shop to bind the papers. All the way to the photo shop that Suhailah had directed me to, I prayed and prayed that it's still open. Afterall it was nearly 10pm!
Turns out that it was closed.
Feeling lost and having no idea what to do, I circled the area for another shop. If there's no photo shop, perhaps there'd be a shop selling a file that I can file my report in. Turns out there were none. All the shops were closed or closing (and not selling any binding service or any files).
Once again, losing hope, I decided to just go back to TP, staple the pages and leave Mr Kok a note saying the printing shop had closed...
It turns out that Allah is helping me all the way! On the way back (another route from where I came), I saw a board saying 'Photo Copy'. It didn't look like a photo shop at all. There were bathroom stuffs there! So I thought the shop had closed. Nevertheless I tried my luck. Who knows?
And I testify that Allah is the Most Compassionate and the Most Merciful. I did not stop praying.
Yes it was a shop selling bathroom items. There were toilet seats lined against one wall. But opposite that was a photocopier machine. And when I asked, the answer said yes she does binding too! The feeling was indescribable! As I chatted with the aunties, I asked her if she normally closes late and she said no, just that yesterday she was waiting for her husband to come.
That sentence she said has just made me more of a believer. Allah is the best planner of all things. And He will answer your prayers.
So finally, I was able to print out the coloured pages of my report and the leftover pages I hadn't print AND to bind it as well! Alhamdulillah syukur!

I have an article I found from a blog that I'd like to share. It's in Malay though..
Penawar Jiwa Yang Lesu
Kadang-kala, dalam keghairahan mencari redha Allah, jiwa kadang-kadang lesu tak bermaya. Apabila ujian satu demi satu diberiNya hati mula keluh kesah. Lagi kuat ujian lagi mula tersasar kita. Mengapa ya?
Jangan dibiarkan sahabatku saudaraku fillah yg kucukup kasihi keranaNya.
Janganlah lesu saudaraku fillah..
Maka sahabatku, usahlah bersedih lag.Janganlah lesu dan layu dibiarkan terus membara.Kembalikanlah semangat juangmu utk keredhaan Allah?

ERTI DOA QUNUT NAZILAH
Qunut ertinya membaca doa kerana sesuatu bala bencana supaya kita dilindungi Allah dari bahaya.
CARA MEMBACA QUNUT NAZILAH
سَÙ…ِعَ اللَّÙ‡ُ Ù„ِÙ…َÙ†ْ ØَÙ…ِدَÙ‡ُ ، رَبَّÙ†َا ÙˆَÙ„َÙƒَ الْØَÙ…
Doa dibaca ketika berdiri untuk I’tidal.

Surah al-Fath. Al-Fath meaning 'the victory'. May the ultimate victory goes to the Palestinians. The victorious are afterall not those who are 'successful' on this temporary earth, instead the victorious are those who earn His pleasure through this life for the wonderful rewards He offers in the hereafter, right? Pray may the Palestinians be given strength to hold strongly to their faith...
You can hear the whole Surah by Mishary here.
Btw kan, I know imeem ade playlist uh but ni baru makcik tau kat youtube ade 'playlist' :).

I wonder, how does one be a pillar of strength for others when he/she has hardly any strength left?
Procrastination is a killer I tell you. A downright plain murderer. I'm about to be one of it's victims, again.
But, I tried. I tried not to procrastinate. Not working. It's part of me now and I hate it.
My subconscious mind tells me I'm lazy, stupid and selfish :(
You know what? I'm just wasting my time. I'll be back with cheer insyaAllah. It makes me feel worst talking about how lazy, stupid and selfish I am. Lemme go think of more beautiful things. Goodnight. No worries, I'll be fine. I'll get through this, insyaAllah. I just wonder, do I seem like a hypocrite to you? Nauzubillahi min zalik.
You know, once you start typing you can't stop. (And how I wish this is the case when I write my report.)
I feel bad. I feel worst when I finished reading 'Musafir Cinta' by Taufiqurrahman al-Azizy. I envy Iqbal Maulana. I feel so low. I feel so little. I feel so insignificant. I want to be like a person such as him, loving Allah with all his heart, helping his fellow brothers and sisters who've strayed to find the right path back, reading and memorizing the holy Qur'an and uttering His words to others to jolt them of the truth and to remind them what is right and what is wrong, remembering and following Rasulullah s.a.w's actions and words and instructions, ever ready to accept anything and give anything in the name of Allah, being so pure, so... I'm envious of a person such like Iqbal Maulana.
Hari Asyura... Will my sins of the past year be forgiven? SubhanakAllahumma...

Email this postHari Asyura
Thursday, January 01, 2009
Yar... I do not trust anything if there's no dalil. So I did not trust anything I read from kedaisiber where NI linked regarding Puasa Asyura. Instead I googled on 'hadith hari asyura' as I have heard before of hadiths regarding this pecial day which falls on 10 Muharram, which this year 1430H falls on Wednesday, 7 Jan 2009M.
Anyway the following is taken from a blog which was indeed taken from muslimspace. I hope it is of benefit for you.
I urge Muslims reading this to fast on the Day of Asyura and apart from praying for your sins of the past year be forgiven, do pray too for our dear Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine. Once before, Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemy (in Egypt ) and so Prophet Musa fasted on this day giving thanks to Allah. May this time Allah saves the Children of Israel from Palestine as well as the Children of Palestine from Israel. I do not wish to point fingers on who's right and who's wrong. I'm not the one going through experiencing the 'war' either as an Israeli or as a Palestinian, so I feel that I have no hak, or right in judging who's right and who's wrong. Allah is best of judge and the most just, may He save all innocent lives and send hidayah to those who do wrong, may they stop hurting and killing others, innocent or not.
From muslimspace:
First of all, it is very important to make it clear that fasting on the day of `Ashura' – the 10th of Muharram- is of great merits in Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Fasting the day of `Ashura' (is of great merits), I hope that Allah will accept it as an expiation for (the sins committed in) the previous year" (Muslim).
Later, before the end of his life, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told Muslims to add the 9th day also. Thus, it is recommended to fast on both the 9th and 10th of Muharram.
Moreover, in his well-known book, Fiqh As-Sunnah, the late Sheikh Sayyed Sabiq states:
Abu Hurayrah reported: "I asked the Prophet: 'Which Prayer is the best after the obligatory Prayers?' He said: 'Prayer during the mid of the night.' I asked: 'Which fasting is the best after that of Ramadan?' He said, 'The month of Allah that you call Muharram'" (Ahmad, Muslim, and Abu Dawud).
Fasting the Day of `Ashura' is not to mourn the martyrdom of imam Husain (may Allah be pleased with him). We deeply respect Imam Husain's martyrdom, we honor his glorious act of sacrifice for the sake of Islam. He gave us a great example of truth, courage and piety. But we also feel pain and grief in our hearts for his assassination at the hand of some hypocrites who took Islam as a pretext to commit their crime. They fought and killed Allah's Messenger's beloved and blessed grandson and his family. This was the most heinous and shameful crime that was committed for the sake of political power. This tragic event took place in the year 61 AH or 680 CE. However, the tradition of `Ashura' fasting is very ancient and it goes back to a long time before imam Husian.
It is reported in the Sahih of Imam Al-Bukhari and other authentic collections of hadith that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions used to fast on the 10th day of Muharram while they were in Makkah (before the hijrah).
It was a day on which people of Makkah used to change the covering (kiswah) of the Ka`bah. Quraysh also used to fast on this day. (Al-Bukhari, hadith 1489 and 1760)
After the hijrah when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, he found that the Jews of Madinah also used to observe this day with fasting. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked them the reason of their fasting on this day. They said, "This is a blessed day. On this day Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemy (in Egypt ) and so Prophet Musa fasted on this day giving thanks to Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "We have more claim to Musa than you." He fasted on that day and commanded Muslims to fast on this day. (Al-Bukhari, hadith 1865)
In another report it is mentioned that Jews of Madinah used to hold a feast on this day. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told his Companions to fast instead. (Al-Bukhari, hadith 1866)
`Ashura' fasting was obligatory (fard) in the beginning. In the second year of hijrah (624 CE) when Allah's command came that Muslims should fast the whole month of Ramadan, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then sent someone to announce to people that fasting of `Ashura' had become voluntary (nafl). This indicates that whosoever wishes to fast, may fast and whosoever does not want to fast, there will be no blame on him/her.
Imam at-Tirmidhi mentioned that ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say that we should fast on two days: the 9th and 10th of Muharram to distinguish ourselves from the Jewish community. (At-Tirmidhi, Hadith 686)
Mu`awiyyah ibn Abi Sufyan reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah say: "Concerning the day of `Ashura', it is not obligatory upon you to fast on it as I do. Whoever wishes may fast and whoever does not wish to is not obliged to do so" (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
It is noteworthy that Muslim scholars have stated that fasting of `Ashura' is of three levels as follows:
1. fasting for three days, i.e., on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of Muharram,
2. fasting the 9th and 10th of Muharram, and
3. fasting only the 10th of Muharram

KeredhaanMu by In-Team. I like the lyrics. The song.. Okok lah, nak dengar cari sendiri, kat youtube ada.
Ya Allah, Ya Tuhanku
HambaMu merindukan
Rahmat kasih sayangMu
Dan jua keredhaanMu
Dalam hidupku
Meskipun ku ulangi dosa noda
Yang menjanjikan azab sengsara
Namun ku sedari
KeampunanMu tidak bertepi
Ku akui diri ini
Hamba yang mungkir pada janji-janji
Jadikanlah taubat ini yang sejati
PadaMu Ilahi
Ya Allah, ampunkanlah dosa-dosaku
Ya Allah, redhakanlah kehidupanku
Moga terhapus penghijab kalbu
Antara Kau dan aku
Tuhan,
Ku zalimi diri ini
Andai Kau tak ampuni dan rahmati
Alangkah ruginya diri
Tuhan,
Jangan Kau palingkan hati ini
Setelah Kau beri hidayah
Sesungguhnya Kau Maha Pengasih
