Ramadhan lagi!

Di sini ingin mengongsi satu hadith yang mungkin dapat menjadi pendorong bagi bulan suci Ramadhan yang akan bermula malam ni lepas azan Maghrib! Dah buat persiapan semua?

From Mu'adh bin Jabal, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: I said:

"O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed which will take me into Paradise and will keep me away from the Hell-fire." He said: "You have asked me about a great matter, yet it is, indeed, an easy matter for him to whom Allah Almighty makes it easy. (It is ) that you worship Allah without associating anything with Him, that you perform the prayers, that you pay the zakat, that you fast during Ramadan, and that you make the pilgrimage to the House."

Then he said: "Shall I not guide you to the gates of goodness? Fasting is a shield; charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire; and a man's prayer in the middle of the night." Then he recited: "Who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of that We have bestowed on them. No soul knoweth what is kept hid for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do". [Qu'ran, Surah al-Sajdah (32): Ayah 16-17]

Then he said: "Shall I not also tell you of the peak of the matter, its pillar, and its topmost part?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "The peak of the matter is Islam (submission to Allah), the pillar is prayer; and its topmost part is jihad." Then he said: "And shall I not tell you of the controlling of all that ?" I said:" Yes, O Messenger of Allah". So he took hold of his tongue and said: "Restrain this." I said: "O Prophet of Allah, will we be held accountable for what we say?" He said: "May your mother be bereft of you! Is there anything that topples people on their faces (or he said, on their noses) into the Hell-fire other than the jests of their tongues?"

[Related by Al-Tirmidhi, who said it was a fine and sound hadith]

Let's grab the opportunity of such a blessed month for doing ibadah and insyaAllah continue the good practice even after Ramadhan has passed.

Anyway, I passed my FTT!!! Received my sem results as well and it's the worst I'd gotten ever since I entered poly. Definitely no chance of being in the Director's List again this year 'cause of this sem. That bad huh? But alhamdulillah, at least tak payah pikir2 untuk supp or what. Kinda expected the bad results lah... This sem I engaged in more activities than I can handle. InsyaAllah will strive to do better next sem and continue on to year 3! Will try to get Molecular Biology, Analytical Biochemistry, Applied Microbiology and Mammalian Cell Technology notes from a senior to read through before sem starts!

I shall do a list of 7 things I wanna do this Ramadhan like Raudah did..
1) Shall help out at Ghufran for bubur distribution everyday if possible (but I can't help out with iftar uh...)
2) Attend terawih prayers everyday if can and stay for 20 rakaat once a week (will try!)
3) Ngaji 5 times a week after Subuh (insyaAllah khatam but I read pretty slow uh)
4) Banyak2 bersabar (cabaran besar ni!)
5) Never be late for ANY temujanji (been late for EVERYTHING this last 6-7 mths seh)
6) Help out at home! Keep my room clean at all times at the very least. Gonna bake 3 kinds of kuih (cookies, chocolate rice cupcake and sugee) on my own! And help my mum with tart, makmur and peanut butter. Will try to help paint the house if my mum plans on it, nut seriously I don't like the paint sticking to my skin lar..
7) Help out with Ramadhan activities!

Eh, feels like there's a lot more I wanna do this Ramadhan!! But time may be constrained seh...

Anyway, YOU reading this... If you're a Muslim, I tag you to list 7 things you wanna accomplish this Ramadhan aite! Selamat menyambut bulan Ramadhan kawan2 semua!
